BRYMAX builds and upgrades data centers. Our Data Center Team has been designing and building HVAC, plumbing, and critical services systems for a wide range of companies since the 1990s. We work on both new and existing facilities and server rooms, including the power, cooling, and backup generators that keep the equipment running.
We work closely with owners, general contractors, and trusted trade partners to deliver projects efficiently and safely. Because these facilities cannot afford downtime, we replace critical power and cooling equipment while maintaining uninterrupted operations.
Our approach begins with the end in mind. By planning backward from the required occupancy date, ordering long-lead equipment early, and testing systems throughout the project, we keep schedules on track. Consistent leadership from the same project manager and site supervisor ensures clear communication, accountability, and seamless execution from groundbreaking to turnover.
Most of our projects are covered by non-disclosure agreements, so client names and project details are shared only where permitted.
BRYMAX has a long-standing history of completing projects in higher education, including Caltech and Cal State Fullerton. From laboratory renovations to tenant improvement projects, our team can adeptly navigate bustling universities and deal with the unique work environment. Below are some professional highlights exemplifying our field specific work experience.

Pasadena, CA
This new three-story, 75,000 SF research and instruction laboratory houses a transmission electron microscope suite, a Satellite Development Assembly Room, and state-of-the-art fermentation, genetic mutation, and wet chemistry labs. Building systems apply innovative water conservation, waste reduction, and recycling technologies. Low embodied carbon materials and 50 new trees for carbon sequestration will sharply reduce the Resnick Center's carbon footprint. Construction began April 2022, with completion in 2024 for students and interdisciplinary study.

Fullerton, CA (2021)
This modern transformation provided a full-scale upgrade to the second floor of the building, which includes both faculty and student areas as well as dedicated learning centers. The second-floor laboratory now comes equipped with first floor fire rating upgrades, one DOAS unit, (39) Lab Valves, (41) VAV's, (5) Duct Silencers, (23) FSD's, (4) Fan Coils, (4) AC Units, (1) Humidifier, and required a whopping 28426 lbs. of Galvanized Duct work and 17073 lbs. of stainless-steel ductwork.

Pasadena, CA
A ground-up 71,000 sq. ft. office and laboratory facility, including an early work package to demolish and reroute existing site utilities. The labs are purpose-built for highly sensitive Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) instrumentation used to detect cosmic gravitational waves. Offices are served by a new VAV system tied to the campus chilled water loop, with a new heat exchanger on campus steam for heating hot water. Lab airflow is controlled by Accutrol high-precision supply and exhaust valves with dedicated air handlers, and the laser optical enclosures have their own air handling unit with humidification and electric reheat for precise temperature and humidity control. Anticipated completion is late 2026.
BRYMAX possesses the experience and unique skillset to accomplish projects in gaming and hospitality venues and ensure the parameters unique to these destinations are met and respected.
Our field team has completed projects both large and small in scale and through years of success acquired unique perspectives and insights into how to ensure a flawless and timely HVAC installation.

Brymax designs and builds mechanical systems for hotels and restaurants — guestroom PTAC, VTAC, and fan coil replacement programs, chiller and boiler plant retrofits, VRF conversions, kitchen exhaust and make-up air, ballroom and spa air handling, and the building automation that ties it together.
Our professional engineers are on staff, which means load calculations, equipment selection, energy code compliance, and P.E. stamped drawings all come from the same
firm that installs the work — one point of accountability, from design through startup, commissioning, and warranty.
Most of our hospitality work happens while the doors are open, so we phase floor by floor, keep temporary heating and cooling in place, tie in overnight, and turn the space over guest-ready before the next shift. Because pre-opening and seasonal dates never move,
we build the schedule around them.
